Ingredients:
12 oz linguine
1 lb sirloin steak
2 tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup Parmesan, grated
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
Instructions:
- Cook the Linguine: Boil water in a large pot. Add linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Cook the Steak: While the pasta is cooking, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the sirloin steak with salt and black pepper. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet and cook the steak to your preferred doneness (about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare). Once cooked, remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing against the grain.
- Make Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan until smooth and creamy. Season with additional black pepper and salt to taste.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the garlic butter sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.
- Serve: Plate the linguine and top with slices of steak. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately, and enjoy!
