Recipe: Cinnamon Sugar Crisps
Introduction:
This recipe is a must-have around the holidays, but I make it year-round! These cinnamon sugar crisps are so addictive that a batch rarely lasts more than a day. It’s incredibly easy to make, and friends never believe me when I tell them how simple the ingredients and preparation are. Once you try them, you’ll understand why they disappear so quickly!
Ingredients:
- 1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough (or puff pastry if preferred)
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of butter (melted)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup. - Prepare the dough:
Unroll the crescent roll dough (or puff pastry) and separate it into individual triangles or squares, depending on your preference. - Mix cinnamon and sugar:
In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Stir until the mixture is evenly combined. - Brush with butter:
Brush each piece of dough with the melted butter, ensuring it’s coated evenly. This will help the cinnamon sugar mixture stick. - Coat with cinnamon sugar:
Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture generously over each piece of dough. Be sure to coat them completely for maximum flavor! - Bake the crisps:
Arrange the coated dough pieces on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are not overlapping. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. - Cool and serve:
Once baked, remove from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. Serve warm or store in an airtight container for up to a few days.
Enjoy your delicious, addictive cinnamon sugar crisps!
