  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 15 minutes
  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin on or off)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or unsalted butter
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice (about 2 large oranges)
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 3 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
  • 1–2 sprigs fresh rosemary or thyme
  • Garnish: fresh orange slices, rosemary sprigs

Instructions

  1. Season Salmon – Pat salmon fillets dry, season with salt and pepper.
  2. Make the Glaze – In a saucepan, combine orange juice, zest, honey, soy sauce, and garlic. Simmer 5–7 minutes until slightly reduced. Stir in cornstarch slurry if you want it thicker.
  3. Cook Salmon – Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon skin-side down, sear 3–4 minutes. Flip and cook another 2–3 minutes until nearly cooked through.
  4. Glaze & Finish – Pour orange glaze into skillet, spoon over salmon, and let simmer 1–2 minutes until glossy and fully coated.
  5. Serve – Plate salmon, drizzle with extra glaze, and garnish with rosemary and orange slices.

Result: Juicy, tender salmon coated in a sweet, tangy orange glaze with savory depth — elegant yet quick for any dinner.
